Health, Safety and Environment

As an integral part of GreyStar Corporation’s overall business plan, the company’s outstanding Health, Safety and Environmental Program is considered to be critical to the well being of its employees, and is a primary example of GreyStar’s commitment to excellence. Although the concept seems somewhat simplistic, GreyStar’s HS&E program is designed around the basic approach of maintaining individual employee awareness every working minute of the day. In a continual effort to promote employee awareness, emphasizing all three aspects of the program; health and safety and environment, GreyStar applies a variety of very effective and proven methods, including:

  • Daily “Safety and Work Strategy Planning Meetings” at the start of each work day, at each field location
  • Extensive and continual employee training, along with competence certifications
  • Professional and attentive field supervision at each project location
  • Recruitment and hiring of only experienced personnel, with proven records of accomplishment
  • Regular intra-company inspections of GreyStar operated field locations, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, safe working practices, housekeeping, and employee professionalism.
  • Continual monitoring of individual employee training, and scheduling of instructional programs as specified
  • Continual emphasis on individual authority to immediately stop any work activities when an unsafe situation is identified
  • Communicate HS&E performance concerns, ideas, achievements, and issues on a regular basis with all employees
  • Continual demonstration of management’s commitment to providing a safe work environment for all employees
  • Provide a number of diverse employee incentives and awards for safe working performance

The end results for maintaining the high standard of safety performance, which is typical of GreyStar Corporation’s approach, is that each employee can expect an accident free working environment, and each client can expect very reliable facility operations.
